the BLUE debonair

The author of this blog is a neophyte to this kind of world.

Neophyte writers tend to believe that there is something magical about ideas and that if they can just get hold of a good one, then their futures are ensured.

Nonetheless, I am not debarred by this weakness to not express myself and tell the world that “Hey, I can also write and put up a good blog.”

I am Narciso “NJ” Villafuerte II y Calamba, a degree holder of BS Geography (with special focus on Geopolitics) in the University of the Philippines Diliman, a past BS Computer Science student of the University of the Philippines Los Banos. A past debater under The Parliament: UPLB Debate Society and a member of the UP Debate Society.

A regular graduate of Marikina Science High School (yes, I am the average, run-of-the-rail graduate). Has been a Feature and Editorial writer for Shoeland, the MSHS Official Paper; Choirmaster and Tenor II of MSHS Senior Chorale. Currently works as real estate broker and auto exchange businessman and used to work for the University of Melbourne and Boston University as travel writer and creative writer respectively. Has worked for other institutions as creative writer as well. A proud student of the Claret School of Quezon City, an essay writing champion, High School Division, Level Finalist for School Investigatory Project Competition, etc.

A lot more minor achievements entail this description but as they say, Achievements do not dictate the individual.

I am a blabbermouth (yes, I admit this). I simply can’t handle myself, if something comes up my mind, it automatically comes out of my mouth.

I am a keen observer, watches everything from a distance and comments to myself or to the people within my proximity. All things of sort tend to interest me, from the movements of the ants to the direction of the celestial bodies and this trait of mine helped me spark the curiosity and yearning to learn.

I am a very opinionated individual and write mostly about social issues, political paradigms, and other prospects of status quo that affect the majority of the society. But of course, sometimes, it doesn’t hurt to talk about personal insights: intrinsic issues in me and will most likely affect the immediate society around me.

Someday though, I still am aiming to finish Law studies and be a contributor to the society as a reasoned individual who is inclined to the legitimacy and legislation not only of the Philippine State but of the International Commune as well.

Truly,

. Claretian . Mariscian . Iskolar .
